Google has launched online tools to help advertisers choose the best Web sites for reaching a target audience, a move that apparently sent the stock of Web metrics firm ComScore plummeting more than 22%. I stopped going to Home Depot many years ago because their customer services was so poor. I’ve been going to Lowes in recent years but I can no longer tolerate their indifference to creating a quality customer experience.

More than 19% of websites in Hong Kong’s Internet domain, .hk, pose some kind of security threat, according to a study released Tuesday by anti-virus firm McAfee Inc.
Using its free SiteAdvisor service, which rates millions of sites green, yellow or red for safety, McAfee looked at the overall risk for Web surfing in the top-level domains assigned to countries and in such generic domains as .com, .net and .edu.

This article comes from CNET News. Microsoft is determined to get a bigger presence in the search market, and it’s willing to get creative with its checkbook to meet that goal. The software giant says it has issued another proposal to Yahoo and is in talks for some type of transaction with the Internet search pioneer that would not involve the acquisition of all of its assets.
