Google, Yahoo and Bing August 2011 market share was just announced by Comscore.com last week. According to them, “Google Sites led the U.S. explicit core search market in August with 64.8 percent market share (down 0.3 percentage points), followed by Yahoo sites with 16.3 percent (up 0.3 percentage points) and Microsoft sites with 14.7 percent (up 0.3 percentage points).” Click here to read the rest of their press release.

Google, Yahoo and Bing December 2010 market share was just announced by Comscore.com this week. According to them, “Google Sites led the U.S. explicit core search market in December with 66.6 percent market share (up 0.4 percentage points), followed by Yahoo! Sites with 16.0 percent and Microsoft sites with 12.0 percent (up 0.2 percentage points). According to the LA Times, “Irvine-based Internet search engine Local.com Corp. said Thursday that it had acquired Octane360, a Los Angeles technology start-up that specializes in online marketing for small businesses and Web domain owners.
