Google AdWords has launched a new mini-site, Google Do More With Less to help Google advertisers manage their advertising dollars better in this tough economy. On close inspection the site is a set of links to a variety of Google Tools advertisers might have bookmarked individually but it is nice to have all of these tools on one landing page. Google recently launched Google Insights for Search, a tool that helps businesses understand unique searcher behavior at a more detailed level than previously provided. The tool also lets advertisers drill down further to get more details, such as demographics and related searches for a particular site,...

Google has surpassed Yahoo to become the most popular website in the U.S., according to Internet tracking firm ComScore Inc.’s rankings by the number of unique monthly visitors.
Google Inc. has long been the Internet’s leader in search, but its audience has trailed Yahoo Inc.’s when counting other services such as e-mail and photo sharing.
April’s numbers, which ComScore plans to formally release today, show Google on top for the first time.

Yahoo Inc. is surrendering some of its advertising space to Internet search leader Google Inc. in a test that appears designed to frustrate Yahoo’s unsolicited suitor, Microsoft Corp.
The experiment announced Wednesday will allow Google to place ads tied to about 3 percent of the queries made in the United States through Yahoo’s search engine — the Internet’s second largest after Google’s.
Without specifying a start date, Yahoo said the Google tests will last for up to two weeks.
The Sunnyvale-based company said it hasn’t decided...
