When running an Adwords campaign it is always important to run two ads for every ad group. Since Google rewards you with higher placement of ads with higher click throughs you should always run an A/B test on the success of your ads. The question becomes how many clicks do you need on each advertisement before you can tell which ad is performing better. Click here to use Verster.com’s free CTR validity tool.

I’m constantly trying to learn new things to help my clients. For the past eight years I have specialized in organic SEO with a focus on Google. Unless you have a very large marketing budget and a lot of patience, it is getting more difficult to achieve good organic rankings at Google. Certainly in most cases it takes much longer than before so you have to be in it for the long run. I have been spending a lot of time learning about Google Adwords. At first I thought it was just like GoTo.com (now Yahoo Marketing) used to be and the highest bidder received the highest search engine ranking....

More and more of my clients are looking for support with Google Adwords. I have set out to learn as much as I can about this amazing media machine. Based on recommendations from a number SEO experts I’m reading Andrew Goodman’s book, “Winning Results with Google Adwords.” This book is great (although a little dated). He has one chapter of the book dedicated to writing Ad Copy.
The most important thing I have learned from this chapter is your click through rate is more important than your bid! Most people assume that Google rewards the highest bidder with top placement...

One of the best books I’ve read about Google Adwords is Andrew Goodwin’s, “Winning Results with Google Adwords.” Although the book was written in 2005 the historical perspective it provides about the search engine industry and Google is worth purchasing the book. Today’s post is not about the book though. Pandia Search Engine News recently interviewed Andrew about his thoughts on The Future of Google and the Search Engine Industry. I hope you enjoy this article!

Today’s post is from Search Engine Watch. By Tony Wright . “Need more evidence that Google is taking over the world? Reports are running rampant that in the rural flyover country of Pryor Creek, Oklahoma, Google may soon install its newest facility.
Back in my days as an editor of the Siloam Spring Herald Leader (in Siloam Springs, Arkansas), I spent some time in Pryor Creek. It’s a nice little town, but a word of advice to Google – if you are going to serve exotic dishes in the company cafeteria, be prepared that the local term for Sushi is “bait.†It might...

In my post two days ago I mentioned using longtail words at Google AdWords as a great strategy! Someone contacted me and asked; what if I don’t know how to use Google Adwords? That is a great question and here is my first answer! One of the most popular books on the subject is Andrew Goodman’s, “Winning Results with Google Adwords.” This book provides great information about managing your own Adwords campaigns. It also gives you a historical perspective of how the search engine industry has changed in the past ten years. I knew most of this historical information because...
