Google Buys DoubleClick for $3.1 Billion atricle from the New York Times.

This is pretty big news in the online advertising world! This article comes from the New York Times. “Google reached an agreement today to acquire DoubleClick, the online advertising company, from two private equity firms for $3.1 billion in cash, the companies announced, an amount that was almost double the $1.65 billion in stock that Google paid for YouTube late last year. Yahoo announces their Search Crawler is changing.

Today’s post comes from Yahoo’s search blog. “Anyone who has seen their web server logs, has seen the Yahoo! crawler come by and leave its mark. It identifies itself as ‘Yahoo! Slurp’ and its domain is inktomisearch.com.
