During my twelve year career with Bose Corporation I read my fair share of sales books. Most of them I found pretty rudimentary and downright boring. Now I’m a search engine optimization and Internet marketing consultant and I’m in dire need to learn more about marketing and sales in the Web 2.0 world.
One of the great challenges of the web today is where do you find high quality information you can trust? I honestly wish I had the answer to that question for every topic, however I don’t! In this particular case I was fortunate enough to stumble upon (not the social networking site) a current and amazing book on this topic.
The book is, “Do It Wrong Quickly: How the Web Changes the Old Marketing Rules” by Mike Moran. As a person who is not impressed by celebrity, I seldom care what the so called gurus say on topics. In fact I find in the SEO world many of the gurus are full of self importance and would rather talk about who they know than share what they know. This book is not one of those boring books and Mike certainly is not full of self importance (although with his impressive background he could be). This book is a must read for anyone serious about being part of the Web 2.0 world and engaging customers in conversations vs. telling them what you want them to hear.
Mike…if you are out there…thanks!
